Episode 55
Sibongile is stung when she walks in on Kwenzo reading his letter officially asking for Nomalanga’s hand in marriage. Velephi thinks it was Zakes’ plan all along to control her when he wanted her to move in with him. Nomfundo reasons with Phetheni to give Thulisile her job back.
Episode 56
Nomalanga is not pleased with the lengths Gcina is going to get rid of Sibongile, but Gcina reminds her it’s all in her best interest. Velephi accuses Asanda of deceit and wanting Zakes all to herself.
Episode 57
Vuma is heartbroken when he finds out about Sibongile and Kwenzo’s kiss from none other than Ntombela. Zakes continues to set draconian laws for Velephi to live by, and physically threatens her. Thulisile exasperates Phetheni into getting her job back.
Episode 58
Vuma is devastated after seeing the picture of Sibongile and Kwenzo kissing and bans her from returning to Durban. Velephi gets a protection order against Zakes after the police convince her to do so. Phetheni wants to uplift staff morale among the helpers.
Episode 59
Kwenzo is crushed when he learns that Sibongile’s father doesn’t want her to return to Durban, all thanks to the kiss. Sipho is surprised when Velephi shows up on his doorstep. The helpers receive Thai massages, and the ‘Employee of the month’ competition starts.
Episode 60
Kwenzo goes to Ixopo with the hope of reasoning with Vuma to let Sibongile go back to Durban, but his idea backfires terribly. Velephi decides to fetch her life by going out to party with Asanda, unaware that Zakes is watching her.
Episode 61
Kwenzo proposes to Nomalanga. Zakes threatens to kill himself to get Velephi to return to his place, and then he holds her hostage. Thulisile sabotages everyone’s chances of winning Employee of the Month competition.
Episode 62
Kwenzo’s proposal to Nomalanga is an arrow that pierces Sibongile’s heart. Velephi tries to escape from Zakes’s but instead she aggravates the situation. The helpers’ dreams of going home for Christmas blow up in smoke.
Episode 63
Kwenzo’s high school friend Siya makes a surprise landfall. He is just in time for the engagement party. Vusi and Gcina are not happy when Phetheni and Njengaye gift Nomalanga and Kwenzo with shares. What secret is Zakes nursing?
Episode 64
Vusi threatens to expose Njengaye and Nomfundo’s affair to Phetheni. Velephi attempts to escape Zakes’ shack once again, but fails. The helpers are pleasantly surprised when Phetheni gives them permission to bring Christmas to the servants’ quarters.
Episode 65
Njengaye is left in disbelief that his own son wants power so badly that he has resorted to blackmail. A worried Asanda tries to check on Velephi, but a petulant Zakes sends her packing. The helpers are excited when they finally receive their gifts from Phetheni, but Mavis is not so happy.
Episode 66
Tired of the abuse that Zakes hurls at her, Velephi turns the table on her tormentor. The helpers bask in the afterglow of the festive season, and Neli’s new year ambitions takes everyone by surprise.
