Shoshanna spirals into denial

Despite the support pouring in from friends and family, Shoshanna remained inconsolable. She had fought tirelessly for her family to be whole again, only for Kunle to be taken from her and their daughter without warning. Her grief quickly turned to blame. She held Kunle responsible for his own death, convinced that his involvement with dangerous people ultimately led to the tragedy. But even that anger couldn’t mask her disbelief.

Accusations and grief-fueled delusions

Overwhelmed by mourning, Shoshanna started crafting alternate explanations in her mind. She convinced herself that Kunle was not dead at all ; that he was faking his death to escape her and their daughter. Her suspicions spiraled quickly. She accused Iyare of helping Kunle hide. When she confronted Iyare about her claims, he urged her to accept the truth and allow herself to grieve, but Shoshanna refused to let go of her theory.

She then confronted Grace, a woman Kunle had once been involved with, accusing her of conspiring with him to stage his death. Grace, blindsided, had no idea what Shoshanna was talking about. It took Iyare showing Shoshanna actual images of Kunle’s body for her walls of denial to finally crumble. Only then did she begin to accept that her husband was truly gone.
