DStv is refreshing its packages on 17 September, its biggest update in 15 years. Some of our biggest channels - M-Net, kykNET and Mzansi Magic - are now available on lower-priced packages than before. Access becomes Starter, Family becomes Select, and Compact becomes Sports, each with more channels than today. There's also a brand-new Movies & Series package.

You stay on Compact Plus. It's no longer open to new sign-ups, but nothing changes on your account

No. A few channels have combined into new, stronger ones - for example, Mzansi Wethu, Bioskop Movies and Mzansi Music are now one channel, Wethu+, with more content than any of them had on their own.

From 8 September, you'll get an email or SMS with full details on what's changing for you.

No. Prices stay the same; you're just getting more content.

For active customers, there's nothing you have to do. It happens automatically. For disconnected customers, you can reconnect to DStv as usual using the same channels as normal.

From 17 September, you’ll be able to upgrade, sign up or change your package through all our self-service channels.
