Project Runway South Africa, a premier fashion competition which focuses on making clothes and real stars from real fashion talent, is returning for a second season in 2019!

Following the outstanding success of the first series, Mzansi Magic and Ndalo Pictures, in partnership with production company Rapid Blue, are once again looking for talented, aspiring designers to compete for a big break into the fashion industry.

Twelve passionate, aspiring fashion designers will live together for a 6-week period and compete in weekly challenges that stretch their creativity, resilience, design and practical skills. The contestants will be judged by a panel of top fashion personalities who will decide who stays in the competition and who is out, until only three remain. The three finalists will create their own collection for a prestigious fashion event, but only one fashion designer will make the cut and take the prize to showcase at Paris Fashion Week 2019.

The show is now casting for talented fashion designers from around the nation to compete in season 2 of the reality design competition series.

The application process will be open from 2 October at 21:00. Aspiring designers have until 12 March 2019 (at midnight SAST) to enter.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend auditions, which will take place from 21 March 2019. You will be notified by 18 March 2019 if you have been selected to take part in the auditions. If you do not hear from us by this date then it means, unfortunately, that your application has not been successful.

If you would like to apply to be part of the programme, please review the rules of entry then complete and submit the application form. The producers want you to get your submission in as soon as possible to give them the most time possible to check out your application.

Principal filming is expected to take place from mid-April to end June 2019 with the finale being recorded in August 2019.

Before completing the form please check the Eligibility Requirements and Terms to make sure that you are eligible to apply.
