Day 17: Ilano and Didi’s clash fuels growing wager doubts – BBMzansi

News28 January 2026
From heated arguments and awkward apologies between Didi and Ilano, to growing doubts about the week’s wager, the Bazozwa house is battling internal tension on all fronts.

Tensions continued to simmer in the Bazozwa house as disagreements, unresolved feelings, and uncertainty around the wager task dominated the day.

Mmeli and Thandeka found themselves in a brief but telling argument after Thandeka raised concerns about the other housemates' behaviour towards her contributions. Mmeli, however, tried to take the mature route, reminding her that they were among other housemates and shouldn’t allow themselves to be drawn into unnecessary drama. According to him, focusing on small issues and constant fighting was a waste of time, especially given the bigger picture of the game.

Kitchen clash spills into the garden

Later in the evening, tension erupted in the kitchen as Ilano and Didi clashed while serving up dinner. The disagreement left Ilano visibly upset, and even after the food had been dished, she wasn’t ready to let it slide.

Later in the garden, Ilano confronted Didi once again, explaining that the way Didi spoke to her in the kitchen was disrespectful. While emotions were still raw, the situation took another turn when Que, who appears to have growing feelings for Didi, stayed with her as she did her laundry.

The pair unpacked the earlier confrontation, with Didi revealing that Ilano had apologised privately but failed to do so publicly, despite the argument taking place in front of other housemates.

Wager woes loom large

As interpersonal tensions played out, concerns about the upcoming wager surfaced. Dene Jones, King Wanda, Mshefane, and other housemates discussed how preparations this week felt drastically different from the previous one.

Earlier in the day, Tumi the Barber struggled to rally the housemates to make concrete plans, while Thandeka openly decided that she would not be participating in the wager presentation at all. With fractured focus and unclear direction, the house’s chances of winning the wager now hang in the balance.

Unsurprisingly, the social streets aren’t feeling optimistic about the housemates’ prospects this week.
