Day 67 Live Updates: A fun karaoke session lights up the house – BBNaija

News01 October 2026
To kickstart what is to be a fun-filled day, Biggie tasked the housemates with karaoke, and they all seized the spotlight. Here's everything the Show Ya Sef finalists got up to today.
A group of people watching someone sing

The house woke up to Independence Day, with green-and-white merch, a pancake breakfast, and plenty of banter. It sure started as a chill day, and Biggie turned up the ante with Karaoke.

8:00 am: Morning chores

The house was up early, and Sheba was already in the mood, declaring that it was Independence Day and that the "kids" sleeping through it needed schooling. In the Closet, Tram was ironing and boasting that he could do 200 push-ups like it was nothing. He also stated that he was too excited to sleep and would stay awake until Sunday. He then asked Ricky if he would vote for Oyin for MIPOW, since she was sweeping the floor and working hard for it. Ricky said yes, adding that he had backed his girl last week even though she slept through much of it. In the kitchen, Barry washed dishes while singing, then moved on to cleaning the house.

9:00 am: Independence Day brief and merch time

Sheba got her make-up done in the Closet area before HoH Barry called the housemates down to the Main Lounge. He then read the Independence Day brief, in which Biggie wished them a happy Independence Day and told them to change into their green and white outfits waiting in the Storeroom. The housemates headed there to collect their merch, and Oyin started doing her make-up in the Garden.

10:00 am: Pancake prep

Music filled the house, and Barry and Temi Nkem sang along to "Mr Barry" while dancing in front of the mirror.  Ricky was cooking in the Kitchen, and Barry started making pancakes. Before the hour ended, Sheba and Temi Nkem were dancing together in front of the mirror.

11:00 am: Breakfast time and bonding

Sheba told Temi Nkem the pancakes looked so good as they ate. Temi Nkem also told Barry the pancakes were amazing and thanked him. Over at the Wall of Fame, Aikou compared Sheba to Mercedes. Temi Nkem jumped in to argue that she was more mature than Sheba, and the two went after Aikou as he ran. Sheba told him that Ebuka had said they shouldn't hide anymore and he'd chosen to be wicked. Temi Nkem added that Sheba was the younger version of her.

Tram, meanwhile, focused on trying to rest after eating. Oyin told Aikou she wanted to play with his hair, and the two had a deep chat about whether jokes are ever really just jokes.

12:00 pm: Snooker time

Tram revealed that Aikou had won the first snooker game 9-3 and was already ahead in round two. Aikou put it down to luck, while Oyin wondered why people don't play with him. Temi Nkem sang and danced in front of the mirror, then spoke to her mic, begging Biggie to give her something to do because everybody was sleeping and she didn't want to. She went on to play snooker herself, and Aikou joined her. In the HOH Lounge, Tram told Oyin he had a feeling Flora was a gambit, though he couldn't explain why. Flora herself was in the Orange bedroom, singing along to the music and dancing.

1:00 pm: Tram opens up to Oyin

In the HOH Lounge, Tram told Oyin she was his favourite person in the house. He said he loved Flora too, but that Oyin is similar to him because she is smart, straightforward, and business-minded, with room to grow. Tram also felt his relationship with Sheba had reached its limit, adding that they hadn't spoken all day. He said he would track her down outside the house because he didn't know how the media rounds would work.

2:00 pm: Karaoke time

Barry called everyone to the Main Lounge, where he read the Karaoke brief. Biggie had given each housemate two songs, along with a list of others to choose from. A Lucky Dip Box decided the order, and everyone had to perform both songs. Barry, who drew number one, kicked things off with Asake's "Terminator." Bluethopia followed with Ayra Starr's "Bloody Samaritan," and Oyin sang "Commas” also by Ayra Starr.  Ricky took on BNXN's "Gwagwalada," and Oyin was back for Burna Boy's "It's Plenty." Tram helped Temi Nkem find her key for Burna Boy's "City Boys," then Aikou sang Davido's "Fall." Flora performed Davido's "Be There Still," with the housemates singing along. Temi Nkem closed out the hour performing King Promise's "Terminator," alongside Tram.

3:00 pm: Chill time

The housemates lounged in the Main Lounge. Barry complimented Oyin, and Flora joked that he was a "marriageable" man. Oyin told Barry his eyes were nice, but he said it was his personality that counted.  Sheba and Ricky later talked about housemates like Mercedes, who had left the house in week two and said she should have stayed longer. In the Kitchen, Barry and Bluethopia prepared food.

4:00 pm: Karaoke, gist and an Independence dinner surprise

Biggie gathers the housemates in the main lounge as they continue their karaoke ad hoc task, with Flora taking her turn on the mic.

Afterwards, Ricky and Sheba chat about life in the house and the idea of making money from conflict. Sheba says she came into the house and simply showed who she is.

Barry later gathers everyone in the lounge to read a new brief. Biggie has organised a special Independence Dinner for the finalists and has also provided outfits for the occasion.

As preparations begin, Sheba tells Flora to do her makeup, reminding her that it is finale week and they have to keep the energy up.

5:00 pm: Finalists get ready for the Independence dinner

Sheba and Bluethopia discuss what they plan to wear for the dinner. Sheba says she feels like she is going to have more fun, while Bluethopia admits she is nervous about Sunday, seeing Ebuka again and eventually finding out what has been said about her online.

The storeroom opens and the housemates receive their outfits for the Independence dinner.

As Oyin and Temi Nkem work on their makeup, Oyin warns Barry not to embarrass her at the dinner. Barry promises he will not, while Flora backs him up, calling him a gentleman.

Flora then jokingly says she is trying to give Barry advice about his “marriage” to Oyin as everyone continues getting ready for the evening.

6:00 pm: Tram looks forward to going home

Tram tells Ricky he is excited to reunite with his people after the show.

Ricky recalls taking just a few days away from the club in the past and already having friends asking where he was, giving him an idea of what returning after weeks in the house might feel like.

For Tram, the person he is most excited to see is his mother. He says she has been one of the happiest and proudest about his journey on the show.

Tram also believes his mother would be proud of how he handled his altercation with Keivo, especially because he chose not to fight back. He admits that he used to struggle with anger, making his response in that moment significant to him.

The conversation later shifts to what life outside the house could look like, including the social media growth they may return to.

Aikou, Barry, Bluethophia, Flora, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem and Tram are heading into the Big Brother Naija Season 11 finale, but only one of them will be crowned the winner and walk away with the ₦160 million grand prize.
