Seipati talks with Mantoa about the problems in Mantoa's marriage. She asks why she is being used as a pawn to keep Mohau. She is very upset as she feels that things that brought her a lot of pain are being used as weapons. Mantoa flips the script, denies everything and goes on to expose Mohau and Mpumi being in love. This gets Mandla's attention, who proceeds to beat Mohau for his actions with his daughter.

Mantoa tells Mandla that the secret that she is carrying is very heavy and since it is heavy, she wants payment for having to carry such a heavy burden. He later tries to reason with her to agree to keep his secret, but she is not interested in anything he offers. He even goes as far as offering her a job, but she tells him that she is a lady of leisure and will not be working. She will, however, have her money, and she will get it from Mandla.

Papi is very suspicious of Puleng and is convinced that she is cheating on him with Mandla. He asks her point blank, and she instantly denies it. At first, he is not convinced, but in classic Puleng fashion, she convinces him that it is all in his head. She even goes as far as threatening that should he ever bring this topic up again, she will leave him. He then apologises and reminds her that he loves her. It is at this point that she starts to feel guilty.

NJ pays Tebatso a visit wanting to know why he would kill his ‘friend’ Phakade. Tebatso tells him they were not friends and that it was in self-defence. NJ is unwilling to listen and does not believe Tebatso. He is saddened as he still loves Phakade and is now gone forever. Meanwhile, his father escapes from prison with the intent of avenging Phakade.
