We kicked off the season with a total of 23 housemates, 20 real players and three disruptors, Fahima, Neo and Taki who were not eligible for voting so, for as long as they were disruptors, they didn’t make the nominations list. 

Here is how each round went for the nominated housemates: 

Week 1 - Round 1

The first nominations round took place on the first Monday of the season and saw Mich being crowned the first head of house and Goldsmith Sammy_M became the first Eye of Immunity holder. This week also saw Bravo B being disqualified from the game. Mali was the first S’ya Mosha housemate to be evicted.

Week 2 - Round 2

The head of house for this week was Disruptor Neo and Sammy_M received the least votes resulting in her being the second housemate to be evicted from the game. Disruptor Neo saved McJunior and replaced him with Zee. 

Week 3

McJunior won head of house but this being a none voting week, it was time for Big Brother Mzansi S’ya Mosha fans to decide on which Disruptor would be elevated to housemate status and which two would be booted out of the game. Disruptor Taki won the hearts of fans while we said goodbye to Disruptors Fahima and Neo.

Week 4 - Round 3

With McJunior reclaiming his seat as HoH, Liema, Mich, Pale, PapaGhost, Taki and Yolanda were nominated. HoH McJunior had the power of save-and-replace and used it to save Taki and replace him with Lerato Modise. Pale became the third housemate to be evicted from the game. Lerato Modise and PapaGhost were whisked to the secret cabin as fake evictees. 

Week 5 

Brand new housemate, Taki won HoH. Although he did not choose to share the Head of House room with him, HoH Taki saved McJunior and replaced him with Chuenzaaa. The final nominations were: Chuenzaaa, Els, Jareed, Liema, Makhekhe, Meelay, Yolanda, and Young Pappi. However, this was a non-eviction week, meaning these nominations were fake and there was no voting.

Week 6 - Round 4 

Willy won HoH this week. The nominations saw the housemates throw shade at each other and call each other out for various reasons. At the end of the exercise, Jareed, Liema, Makhekhe, McJunior, Meelay, Mich, PapaGhost, Sinaye, Taki, Yolanda, and Zee were called up as the nominated housemates before HoH Willy was called to do a save and replace. He saved Jareed and replaced him with Chuenzaaa. Well, Chuenzaaa bit the dust alongside Meelay, Taki and Mich. 

Week 7 - Round 5

Mpumi became the second lady to win HOH. The initial nominations were tallied as follows: Els, Jareed, Lerato Modise, Liema, Makhekhe, McJunior, Sinaye, Willy and Yolanda. 

Big Brother revoked the save-and-replace mechanism and instead, implemented the Fate Room. The housemate to pick the red marble from a box of blue marbles would move through to the second round, and take part in the Fate Room. Willy's stars aligned for him as he picked the red marble, propelling him to the Fate Room.

Once in the Fate Room, he spun the wheel of fate that won him immunity from evictions, removing him from the list of nominated housemates. Els and Jareed became the eighth and ninth housemates to be evicted.

Week 8 - Round 6

Lerato Modise was evicted instantly from the game in the Fate Room at the Monday nomination show during her love interest, PapaGhost’s first tenure as HoH. Her eviction was preceded by Lerato Modise, Liema, Mpumi, Sinaye, Young Pappi, Willy and Zee being up for possible eviction. At the end of the week, Young Pappi became the 11th housemate to be evicted from the game. Yolanda was disqualified from the game on this week.

Week 9 - Round 7

In the penultimate week, Willy was evicted from the game under PapaGhost’s second reign as HoH. This meant that Makhekhe, McJunior, Mpumi, PapaGhost, Sinaye and Zee were the finalists of Big Brother Mzansi S’ya Mosha. Biggie put the whole house up for nomination, requiring all of them, excluding the HoH, to take part in the Fate Room challenge. 

As usual, there were two rounds to the challenge. The first round resulted in Liema pulling a red marble in a pool of blue ones, moving her forward to the Fate Room. Once there, the second round was in effect, and she was presented with the option to take R250 000 and exit the game, or stay in the house and join the nomination pool. She was given 60 seconds to decide her fate and Liema took the cheque and bade the show goodbye. 

Week 10 - Round 8 (FINALE)

The final week of the season saw Zee lead the pack to the finale as HoH. With 34,50% McJunior was crowned the winner of Big Brother Mzansi S’ya Mosha while Makhekhe became the runner up with 34,43%.
