It’s easier than holding a note.
Idols SA article

The live shows are steady coming. After the spectacular show that we experienced this past weekend, when it was the guys’ turn to take to the stage, you will definitely want to keep your fighter in the game.

While the Idols SA contestants ride the wave of stardom week in and week out, holding it down in the notes department, you have the exciting role of voting for your favourite and taking part in choosing the next and final Idol.

It gets better, because there are multiple methods available to you of making sure your chosen one becomes the last star standing.

Voting takes place on SMS, mobile, web, and the MyDStv app (all DStv subscribers) only.

But first, registration

You can register to vote on the Idols SA website: www.idolssa.tv. Click on the vote menu item followed by choosing the register option and then proceed to enter your name, surname, year of birth, sex, location, and cellphone number in the international format eg +27731234567 and your preferred password. You will then receive an OTP via SMS which you will enter – and that will be you, well on your way to voting.

Voting via SMS

You can SMS your favourite contestant’s number to 37400, which cost R1.50 for each one sent. The voting limit here is 100 per user and free SMSs do not apply.
