The highly anticipated Idols SA live shows have made a big splash at Mosaiek Teatro.

For viewers at home, Saturdays haven’t been the same since the farewell season kicked off. Now that the live shows have officially commenced in Johannesburg, you now have the opportunity to experience performances from the faves, big names from the iconic world of Idols SA, and later in the season, guest appearances from South Africa’s most sought-after artists.

And while watching from the comforts of your home is an exciting thrill by itself, there’s nothing quite like watching live performances. Elevated by a live band, the big stage lights create an electric atmosphere that later becomes a memory to cherish.

The show also features the show’s judges Somizi, Thembi Seete, and JR. Each week, they come out clad in their finest looks to gag the audiences. Viewers can also look forward being part of the live judge commentary, which is always entertaining.

At a damage of just R40 per ticket, viewers get to take part in the live music experience every Saturday between 18:00 and 20:00. Because it is a live broadcast on Mzansi Magic and Mzansi Wethu, your screams and your own version of ‘woo shem’ will finally go platinum.

How to buy ticket

To grab one, two, or 10 tickets for you and your day ones, simply head over to the official Computicket website. In the search bar, type ‘Idols’. When the results appear, click on Idols - farewell season. Once this is done, you will be led directly to the tickets page. Here, you can see a pre-selected date for the performance. You will also be able to see whether or not tickets are still available.

Click on the “Buy” button on the left. In the next page, you will be able to select the area from the map of the venue. On the map, click in the area from which you wish to be seated. Choose the number of tickets on the right. Click on ‘Check Availability’, and then proceed to your basket.

Idols SA airs every Saturday at 18:00 on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161), and thereafter on Mzansi Wethu (DStv channel 163) at 19:30.
