Girls run The Throne!
three women

From the one on a desperate quest to serve her interests to the one on a search for freedom, meet the women of The Throne.

Queen Mosadi Kwena

Played by Monnye Kunupi, Queen Mosadi Kwena is the current ruler and matriarch whose task is to choose an heir to the throne between her daughters, Kefilwe and Mosetsana. The queen is a wise and fair leader.

Portrayed by Lerato Zah Moloi, Kefilwe is the ambitious older Kwena sister.

Tshegofatso Seakgoe plays the younger Kwena sister Mosetsana who seeks a life of independence and self-fulfilment.

Seasoned actress Tsholo Matshaba brings the queen's villainous younger sister, Odirile, to life. She is on a quest to become the future queen of Kweneng. Odirile is sly, manipulative, and always plotting her next move, even if it involves poisoning someone.

Keke Mphuti

Keke Mphuti plays Dipuo, the queen's street-smart niece. Dipuo's sarcasm is on a different level. Although she's not well-spoken, she has big dreams.

Portrayed by Seipati Motshwane, she is the guardian of Kwaneng culture. She knows who the rightful heir to the throne is but won't say, for the security of the kingdom.
