Homecoming

Set in the rural town of Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal, Homecoming intricately follows the journey of Zethu Hlongwane, portrayed by the talented Mpume “Six” Nyamane, who has recently graduated with top honours from medical school. Zethu dreams of breaking barriers in her field, striving to become one of the few Black female surgeons in South Africa. However, her aspirations take an unexpected turn when she faces the harsh reality of the job market; unable to secure a position or placement after graduation, she finds herself compelled to return to the village she had eagerly left behind.

Her journey takes a transformative turn when she encounters Sifiso Kubheka, a character brought to life by the acclaimed actor Thembinkosi Mthembu, known for his roles in Shaka iLembe and The River. By day, Sifiso serves as a dedicated police officer, committed to upholding the law in his community. By night, he embraces his role as a traditional healer, embodying the rich cultural heritage of his people. The show airs every Mon to Wed at 18:00.
