We’re so happy to welcome Lloyiso back to Idols SA! He was just 16 when he finished in season 11’s Top 5 (Karabo was the eventual winner) and he’s gone from strength to strength since then.
In fact, just last month he became the first South African artist to sign to New York's Republic Records, who have Drake, The Weeknd, Taylor Swif, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Pop Smoke, and Post Malone on their roster!
Following his run on Idols, he became something of a sensation on TikTok with his Sam Smith-like croon – he currently has 1.5 million followers on the platform!
Last season he performed twice on Idols – firstly alongside Langa Mvuso doing his debut single ‘Intlziyo’ in the Top 10 reveal.
And then he appeared in the finale alongside DJ Zinhle performing their collab ‘Indlovu’, which is approaching 3 million views on YouTube!
For the record, he added the additional L to his name so as not be be confused with Loyiso Bala – bizarrely they’re also both from Uitenhage!
