Algoa FM comes to DStv

As part of our ongoing effort to enhance our customers’ entertainment experience and delight them with content that resonates with them, MultiChoice is proud to announce the launch of Algoa FM on DStv Channel 837. Algoa FM is an award winning commercial radio station which broadcasts from the Garden Route to the Wild Coast and inland through the Karoo. It features relevant news, traffic and weather as well as a great mix of music which appeals to adults aged 25 years and older.

The channel will be available to watch via DStv App allowing viewers from across South Africa to enjoy a variety of music, fun and topical entertainment on various DStv platforms at no extra cost. We will continue to delight our customers with content delivered across a range of devices for our customers to enjoy, anytime and anywhere.

Launching this channel is in line with MultiChoice’s commitment and ongoing effort to enhance the customers television experience and delight them with content that resonates with them and enriches their viewing with a vast selection of content to choose from. We are continuously looking for ways to find and develop the right mix of content and value propositions and deliver it to people from different walks of life with different viewing interests.

Algoa country’s favourite way of waking up is with Wayne, Lee and Charlie T, as they put smiles on dials and share in the conscious mind of their target audience while also playing some great music.

Mid Mornings with Mio (Weekdays 09h00 to 12h00)

It’s all about fun and great music as Mio shares with his audience, and talks with them about a variety of topics, whether they’re at work or at leisure.

Lunch with KayCee (Weekdays 12h00 to 15h00)

It’s all about the Social Survey, the Record Race and Algoa Cares, where we speak with NPO’s who get to share what they’re doing and a list of needs.

The Drive with Roland and Roch-le (Weekdays 15h00 to 19h00)

Unofficially called the RoRo Show which literally drives you home and shares everything you need to know about getting there safely and with good vibes! By admittance, they’ll drive you anywhere including … around the bend

Early Evenings with Queenie (Sunday to Friday 19h00 to 22h00)

All sorts of wonderful things happen on this show as Queenie’s warm and inviting personality engages in conversation with everyone from families to truckers and even the sun chasers. Pearls of wisdom are shared in-between a spicy mix of great music which encompasses old and new.

Late Nights with Vinny (Sunday to Friday 22h00 to 02h00)

Algoa FM’s Vinny Nogemane doesn’t pay attention to time – he’s all about bringing you the highlights of the day, results from the sporting fields and sharing your messages with loved ones, and the music is superb!

The Finest Hour with Craig (Weekdays 05h00 to 06h00)

Bounce into the morning with the energetic Craig Ross as he puts you into the right frame of mind for the day which lies ahead – great music and all the info you need to kick start your day.

The Algoa FM Top 30 (Saturdays 09h00 to 12h00)

Join Wayne Hart as he moves you through the weekly countdown of the biggest hits in Algoa Country. This is the premiere selection of newer music as rated by our audience. The show also features flashbacks to years gone by; a host of new releases and a look at songs doing well all over the world.

The Sounds of Time (Sundays 09h00 to 12h00)

Join Lance Du Plessis as he takes you on a journey through time with an eclectic mix of classic songs from the 70’s through to the 90’s, with the odd 60’s tune thrown in for good measure. MixTape Memories is your opportunity to request a list of ‘long time, no hears’.

Sunday Soul (Sundays 15h00 to 19h00)

Join KayCee Rossouw for a laidback Sunday experience as he engulfs you in romance with everything from Soul to R&B, the odd Jazz standard and some Motown classics to get you dancing in your lounge.
