From 17 September 2026, DStv viewers will be welcomed to a brand-new entertainment destination as Mzansi Wethu on channel 163 becomes Wethu+.
Wethu+ is a new channel dedicated to local entertainment, movies, music, family viewing and live football. Designed for the whole family, the channel brings together popular telenovelas, drama series, local movies, children's programming, educational content and live PSL action in one place.
What is changing with Wethu+?
Wethu+ combines the best of Mzansi Wethu’s entertainment, Mzansi Bioskop’s (channel 164) local movies and Mzansi Magic Music’s (channel 321) vibrant music programming, offering viewers more of the content they love in one easy-to-watch destination. The channel also introduces the international blockbuster movies as well as local telenovelas, dibbed telenovelas and local reality shows.

Available on DStv Starter and above, the channel also features daily news updates and a dedicated international movie slot, giving viewers even more variety alongside its strong line-up of local content.
