Die Oord

Crime drama from SAFTA-winner Christian Olwagen (Kanarie). Criminologist Martie Pretorius (Jana Kruger) is finally taking a long-delayed seaside holiday with her son Paul (Liam Bosman) and her sister Elsabé (Erica Wessels). It’s all caravan park cool and sunny days until the body of a teenage boy washes up on the beach. While local cop Brandi Jacobs (Melissa de Vries) blames gang activity, Martie has a crawling suspicion that the serial killer Prediker has come out of retirement after 15 years.

Doc Roy breaks into forensic scientist Blue’s flat when she doesn’t come back to work, and her colleagues uncover her secret identity and the truth about her past when they find human remains on the property.

Return to Paradise

Cosy police drama. Detective Sergeant “Mack” Mackenzie (Anna Samson) Clarke should be back in the UK, but she’s still in Australia’s Dolphin Cove solving murder mysteries with Detective SC Colin Cartwright (Lloyd Griffith)…and trying to stay out of her ex-fiancée Glenn’s (Tasi Hara) wedding plans. This season things get personal when one of Colin’s friends gets caught up in a real-life locked room murder mystery, and a poisoner disrupts Glenn and Daisy’s (Andrea Demetriades) vows.

Hudson & Rex

Police drama. With Detective Charlie Hudson vanishing at the end of Season 7 (in part due to actor John Reardon undergoing cancer treatment), the unrelated Detective Mark Hudson (Luke Roberts) takes over investigations at the Major Crimes Division of St. John's Police Department with Charlie’s canine partner Rex (played by Dillon, Dante, and Dreamer following Diesel’s death in Season 7). Look out for the death of a contestant during a Survivor-style reality series and an old enemy who kidnaps Rex.

Blue Ridge

Police drama based on the 2020 film of the same name. Former Green Beret-turned-sheriff Justin Wise (Johnathon Schaech) works to protect his small Appalachian town while navigating longstanding feuds, eccentric locals and unruly travellers. As well as helping his ex-wife Elli (Sarah Lancaster), Justin works to bond with their daughter, Maddie (Taegen Burns). This season a deadly new drug hits Blue Ridge, and Justin and Maddie investigate a murder during a local production of Romeo and Juliet.

Mysteries Unearthed with Danny Trejo

Docu-series. Actor Danny Trejo has a passion for history and movie memorabilia so he’s thrilled to present the tale of a submarine car from the James Bond films that was found gathering dust in a storage unit. We also find out about a woman who uncovered a trinket from a Roman temple while digging in her back yard, the buyer who spotted a real Fabergé egg among flea market tat, and the dog who recovered a stolen World Cup trophy.

History’s Deadliest with Ving Rhames

Pulp Fiction actor Ving Rhames explored the deadly side of history in this ten-episode series, starting with preventable, corner-cutting engineering disasters about the Titanic and inside an ancient Roman gladiators’ stadium. He’ll also look at wars, weapons and tyrants, serial killers, weather, and other natural phenomena, like the 1923 earthquake that burned and flattened Tokyo, the 1883 volcanic eruption that blasted apart the island of Krakatoa, and the Indonesian tsunami that was felt around the world on 26 December, 2004.

Lourdes: Faith in Miracles

Documentary special. For over 150 years, the cave of Massabielle, located in Lourdes at the foot of the French Pyrenees, has attracted hordes of Catholic pilgrims. Up to four million people from around the world now travel there each year to touch the rock where peasant girl Bernadette Soubirous claimed to have seen the Virgin Mary in 1858. The site has become known for miraculous cures, and experts, including the President of the Lourdes Medical Bureau, weigh in on why.

Food Trail: South Africa

South African-born Australian chef Warren Mendes takes us on a ten-episode food tour of South African dishes, spices, people and places, from Durban to the Kalahari. Each episode involves a hunt for ingredients, surprising wildlife encounters, and even familiar faces, like when Warren has sundowners with his cousin, TV presenter Jeannie D. “I was reminded how deeply food is woven into our sense of place. South Africans don’t just cook, we tell stories through our food,” says Warren.

The moment Anita tries to stretch her wings, her mom Tina (Elzabé Zietsman) rocks up after getting kicked out of her retirement home, and her daughter Melissa (Luandri Reynders) crashes the party, too, after catching her husband cheating.

Youth sport takes the spotlight during the Easter weekend with a number of schools hosting their annual Rugby Festivals. St Stithians gets the ball rolling as they host the face-off between Hartpury College vs Mzwandile Mali, and families, friends and talent spotters will also be watching the action at the grounds of fellow host schools St. John’s College, Kearsney, KES, and Pretoria Boys.
