OkMalumKoolkat has been making headlines for the past few days.

The rapper, who recently released a music video for his hit track "Gqi", found himself under fire after the City Press posted a story about him on social media, referring to him as a convicted sexual offender in the headline.

The post, which went viral on Twitter created a lot of spark and saw scores of people sharing their different opinions on the social networking site.

The headline was referring to an incident that happened in 2016, where the rapper was found guilty of indecent assault and assault with incident intent. He served a one-month jail sentence in Australia.

It was alleged that the hitmaker sexually assaulted a fellow artist while she slept in her hotel room, after performing at a music festival.

The rapper allegedly entered her room through a sliding room, which had been left open. She reportedly found him in her bed, kissing her neck and rubbing his hands over her private parts.

Since the City Press article, several people have taken to social media to air their views - while some have shown their support, others believe that the rapper should not be pay for what he did. On Wednesday morning, the "Gqi" singer took to Twitter to address the backlash.
