At the centre of it all is Busiswa - a force of nature, a voice that has defined a movement, and one of Africa’s most fearless cultural exports. From her breakout hits Midnight Starring and My Power (with Beyoncé on The Lion King: The Gift), to her countless collaborations and celebrated solo work, Busiswa has built a legacy rooted in boldness, creativity, and authenticity.
Her latest project, the Honey & Grace EP, marked a new chapter: a fearless blend of amapiano, house, electronic dance, and R&B - recorded between Berlin and Johannesburg, crafted with collaborators BERNT and Let Me You. At its heart, it’s a love letter: to the culture that raised her, the dancefloors that shaped her, and the community that dances night after night.
It was in Berlin, ahead of her debut showcase at Reeperbahn Festival, that Busiswa first connected with Âme — the German duo behind Innervisions and enduring deep house anthems like Rej and Where We At. That meeting sparked a creative bridge between South Africa and Germany.
Now, Âme step into Busiswa’s world with a remix of Flight Mode. The original - a restless ode to movement and escape - is transformed into a hypnotic deep house journey. Ethereal synths, pulsating rhythms, and Busiswa’s unmistakable voice intertwine in a reimagining that connects two vibrant dance music cultures.
“This remix is about freedom, movement, and connection,” says Busiswa. “It’s a global conversation - Âme carried Flight Mode into new spaces while keeping its spirit alive.”
This project was proudly supported and made possible by SAMPRA, whose commitment to empowering South African music continues to drive global collaborations like this one.
"Flight Mode" (Âme Remix) drops via Paradise Sound System 24 October 2025.
