A lot of great music has been released, which means everyone has been putting in the work.
One record label that has had everybody talking is Ambitiouz entertainment. The team's vision for 2016 was probably to kill the game. And they did exactly that.
The label, which has big artists like Emtee, A-Reece, Fifi Cooper, Amanda Black and others, has done exceptionally well this year. All of their artists have had great success.
Among the many hit singles from the label, Â "Vura" by DJ Citi Lyts featuring Sjava & Saudi, is clearly a fan favourite.
We can't talk about Ambitiouz entertainment without mentioning Miss Pru. The DJ's hit song, "Ameni", which features other artists from the label, blew up immediately after it was released.
The music video is currently has over one million views on YouTube.
Speaking to Zkhiphani TV about the video, Miss Pru said: "The idea of the "Ameni" music video was to kinda initiate me to the hip hop side of the music industry 'cause we're trying to get people to know the hip hop side of Miss Pru... The video is just basically me being introduced into the music industry..."
Another lady who took the music industry by storm is Amanda Black.
The singer, who was a finalist on Idols SA, has a great career ahead of her. You've probably heard that her debut album "Amazulu" went platinum in just three weeks.  Now that's how you introduce yourself to that world - with a killer album.
Let's not forget that Emtee is also a platinum-selling artist.
The rapper has won countless awards this year, including Best Hip Hop album for "Avery" at the Metro FM Music Awards.  The album was named after his son.
Emtee even presented Turn Up with a platinum plaque.Â
It is so good to see artists from the same label succeeding at the same time.
We can't wait to see what these talented artists have in store for us next year.
