The Metro FM Music Awards 2023 took place on Saturday, 6 May at the Mbombela Stadium, with Lerato Kganyago and Katlego Maboe serving as hosts.
The event celebrated excellence in South African music and featured performances from Musa Keys, Boohle, 2Point1, Ntate Stunna, Nthabi Singa, Phumla Music, and many more.
The late rapper, AKA emerged as the biggest winner, taking home four awards in the categories of Best Collaboration Song, Artist of the Year, Best Hip Hop Artist, and Best Male Artist. Meanwhile, Makhadzi took home Best Female Artist and Song of the Year went to Betusile Mcinga.
