The unthinkable, the inconceivable, and the true test of friendship.

This brand-new M-Net original drama series exploded onto our television screens last night with the most drama-filled premiere yet.

This group of 5 friends has something everyone can relate to. From the dynamic and empowered lawyer to the sweet and awkward IT specialist. We fell in love with these characters from their very first scenes.

Last night we met a group of close friends getting ready to celebrate Rachel’s new baby with a stunning baby shower. Rachel Bishop, played by the incredible Carine Rous, is a criminal lawyer with a passion for perfection.

Her baby shower is hosted by one of her closest friends, Natalie Stein that just moved back to Jozi with her computer programmer husband Craig. Natalie Stein is the first serious drama role for funny woman Nina Hastie and we loved how she brought all the drama with a touch of the Nina silly.

Rachel’s best friend Marieke Meyer, portrayed by award-winning Anel Alexander, is a gynecologist and offers to give her a few sonar scan images to use as gifts at the shower.

Something however goes horribly wrong and the excitement between these best friends turns to fear and uncertainty.

The last of the 5 friends is the sassy and sultry businesswoman Busi, played by Refilwe Madumo. She is the only one in the group of friends that has no interest in having children, and she is married to one of Natalie’s ex-boyfriends, Sisanda.

Shortly after the discovery, Rachel and Marieke try to save face at the beautiful baby shower hosted at Natalie’s brand new restaurant. Rachel battles to come to terms with what they have discovered and worries about how to / or if to tell her husband James. James Bishop is a high-powered executive and hopelessly devoted to his wife.

The husbands in the group try desperately to surprise James with a classy nappy braai, but as it goes with little ones around, things don’t go as planned.

The nappy braai welcomed David Stein to the circle of friends and he attaches himself to his wife’s ex-boyfriend Sisanda Nkosi.

Natalie is desperate to have a baby and poor David’s approach is a little too clinical for this feisty and fiery restaurant owner. David enlists the services of Sisanda to help him win points with his wife by helping him fix the kitchen in her new restaurant.

Marieke Meyer extended her services to a young couple about to have a baby. Nick and Tamsin are rough around the edges and doing what they can to put food on the table. Tamsin goes into labor at the same time as Rachel and the most inconceivable thing happens.

This series has all the ingredients for a wild and drama-filled ride over the next few weeks and we are extremely excited to see what will happen next.

Here are a few of the moments that made us gasp.
