The media has been abuzz for the past week as the premiere of the South African film Happiness is a Four-letter Word, on 11 February, approached. M-Net Movies will be attending the event to give you the scoop on this much-anticipated movie.

An award-winning book by Cynthia Jele, Happiness is a Four-letter Word was adapted into a screenplay by Busisiwe Ntintili. The movie arrives just in time for Valentine's Day, as it is a heart-warming contemporary romance surrounding the lives of three best friends, starring well acclaimed South African personalities and actresses, Khanyi Mbau, Mmabatho Monthso from Jacob's Cross, and Renate Stuurman.

It follows the lives of these strong, empowered and highly individual women. In a time when wealth and position seem to be more important than traditional values, each woman will find out that happiness is not found in a one-size-fits all box.

The movie boasts acclaimed experts in cinematography and production such as Lance Gewer, who worked on the Oscar® winning film, Tsotsi. Thabang Moleya, who has extensive experience directing in the South African film industry, is also on board, as well as sought-after producers Junaid Ahmed, Helena Spring and Bongiwe Sleane.
