Samantha (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) inherit an estate in the country, Woodstone Manor, in dire need of TLC. What they didn’t bank on is that the house is still inhabitant by ghosts, many of them. And Samantha is the first per alive who can see and hear them. And there goes Jay and Samantha’s plans of turning it into a warm and cosy bed and breakfast.

Make no doubt though, the departed souls are a close-knit and diverse group, including:

• a saucy Prohibition-era lounge singer,
• a pompous 1700s militiaman,
• a 1960s hippie fond of hallucinogens,
• an overly upbeat 1980s scout troop leader,
• a cod-obsessed Viking explorer from 1009,
• a slick 1990s finance bro,
• a sarcastic and witty native American from the 1500s, and;
• a society woman and wife of an 1800s robber baron who is Samantha’s ancestor.
