A rich matriarch, lying on her death bed, wishes to repair her broken family when they arrive to say their goodbyes. We meet Mrs Linah Dlamini (Gogo), a successful matriarch who is dying of cancer. She has two children – Khanyi and Themba –both in troubled marriages. Gogo feels responsible as she was not a present mother, focusing on building her empire. Her eldest daughter, Thuli, ran away from home at a young age and her eldest son Mbongeni passed away a few years ago. She then took in Thuli’s daughter, Gugu, and raised her as her own – almost trying to correct the wrongs she committed with her own children.
