It’s a joyride this June on DStv Premium as we race to bring you the best shows on TV.

DStv Premium is the perfect gift for dads this Father’s Day on Sunday, 19 June, with shows like the fun and moving car series Celebrity IOU Joyride Season 1 and Exploration Volcano Season 1 for your action-adventure dads. PS: The brand-new medical drama series Good Sam Season 1, stars Jason Isaacs (Lucious Malfoy himself) and Sofia Bush as battling father and daughter doctors.

The daddy of all legal dramas, Law & Order Season 21, makes a triumphant return after 10 years in the dark. Jack McCoy has brought Hannibal’s Hugh Dancy with him. To celebrate, M-Net (DStv Channel 101) has stacked the deck this June with 5 more legally minded series, including brand new series We Own This City Season 1 with Josh Charles and all-star true crime drama mini-series The Staircase Season 1 with Colin Firth & Toni Collette.

Local drama lovers, Desert Rose Season 1 is here at last. Keep an eye on Behind The Screen on DStv.com for making-of stories. And visit M-Net’s official page for more special videos and details. Neil Sandilands plays a dad you love to hate, but you won’t be able to look away.

With Youth Day on Thursday, 16 June, the timing is perfect for the return of the hit dystopian drama series Noughts + Crosses Season 2. The show returned to Cape Town to film the new season so aside from offering an exciting and thought-provoking way of exploring the impact of racism, it’s great fun for local TV fans who enjoy location spotting.

And there’s so much more to celebrate with DStv this June. Put a crown on it with royal doccies, news and coverage of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee from Thursday, 2 June to Sunday, 5 June. And the big mid-year awards are here, too. Read on and save the date for the MTV Movie & TV Awards, DStv Mzansi Viewers' Choice Awards and BET Awards.
