Dog Impossible, Paranormal Nightshift, reno shows & more on DStv Access in October
Need a bit of an overhaul? Let our October programmes show you how on DStv Access. We have different series tackling everything from problem feet, to problem dogs, to better homes and gardens. And there are some ambitious home reno shows there, too, just for inspiration. So look out for the likes of My Feet Are Killing Me, Dog Impossible,Home To Win: Home For The Holidays and Save My Reno.
DStv Access has plenty of real people in strange situations, too. Perfect for spooky season there’s the chilling new documentary series Paranormal Nightshift – watch it alone, in the dark. Our favourite big, weird family is back in a new season of Welcome To Plathville S3. There’s a brand-new season of romantic reality series 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, and true-crime and cop fans can make a note of Borderforce USA: The Bridges and Random Breath Test.
National Geographic Wild (DStv channel 182) celebrates World Animal Day on Monday, 4 October and Croctober all month long with special nature programming.
And there are plenty of fun action and comedy classics on Saturdays and Sundays on M-Net Movies 4 (DStv channel 108).

Dog Impossible S2
Reality. Dog behaviour specialist Matt Beisner and his team help owners with problem pets, and rehabilitate rejected shelter dogs. This season, 2 pugs sharing a house must stop fighting, a veteran and his service dog are both battling with anxiety, and a visually impaired dog is reacting with aggression.

Reality. Dr. Ebonie, Dr. Brad and Dr. Sarah are back treating troubled feet. This season, a patient has a condition so rare that only eight people in the world have ever been diagnosed with it. Someone claims their foot is cursed, and a man claims to have an alien on his toe.

See the best outdoor spaces in Australia, from parks to private gardens. Leading landscape architects and horticulturalists explore the space and see whether they match up to their creators’ goals. Documentary on personal encounters with the paranormal presented in 1-hour episodes in a combination of interviews and re-enactments, narrated by Martin Yap with expert commentary from Sapphire Sandalo and Christopher Allen Brewer. Cases include a demon encounter beneath an old hotel, a haunted museum, and a coroner’s assistant’s night with the undead.

Every Sunday this October is Croc Day. Learn more about the challenges crocs face in the wild, how they battle for dominance, and how their skills and natural adaptations make them apex predators. This year for the first time we’ll see Matt Wright at work in Monster Croc Wrangler S4 (episodes 1 & 2 on 10 October from 18:00, episodes 3 & 4 on 17 October).
