Dinner is served! – Landman

Dysfunctional and delightful, the Norris family is a treat to watch every single week. One of the many things we love about them, is watching their entertaining dinner scenes – they always leave us hungry for more. Let's unwrap our best picks.

The first dinner
In season 1, when Angela came back into Tommy's life, she was over the moon to host their first family dinner together after years. This marked the beginning of many awkward, hilarious, and dramatic Norris dinners to come. Ainsley and Cooper didn't want to hold hands to say grace due to their silly sibling rivalry; Tommy unpacked his drinking problem when he refused to have the wine; Angela's grace prayer was incredibly raw and funny; and the looks on Dale and Tommy's faces were priceless.

White truffles, anyone?
After Tommy became the president of M-Tex, he received a big, fat paycheck. Angela, who has a natural instinct to smell money from afar, jumped at the opportunity to give everyone a fancy dinner to celebrate Ainsley's college acceptance. Things took a catastrophic turn when Tommy realised Angela spent over $2400 on white truffles. Tommy made a cheeky comment to Angela regarding her PMS, which he said comes with unconventional spending habits, setting her off on one of her tantrums. Truffles, pasta, and brutal words flew across the table, marking it as one unforgettable dinner.

Ahoy matey, it's a pirate dinner
When TL left the nursing home and moved in with Tommy and the family, Angela and Ainsley decided to throw a pirate-themed dinner in his honour. Everyone dressed up as pirates, from hats to hooks to swords, and there was even a good ole pirate dance. It was cheesy yet charming, and this dinner was as delightful as finding a pirate's treasure chest and made TL finally feel at home.

Paella or jambalaya?
In season 1, Angela served up a paella dish she cooked herself, for the whole family. But ... no dinner's complete until Tommy gives his sarcastic opinion. He insisted it was called jambalaya. Things became more tense when Angela insisted they all eat from one platter instead of using plates, further ticking off Tommy. The back-and-forth banter between the two was hilarious. We guess Tommy's opinions are harder to swallow than the paella.
