Mpondoland

A reluctant leader with a natural talent for cultivating lush, green marijuana fields is forced to rise and lead his village against a powerful outsider determined to seize the riches of their land. SAFTA nominee Thembekile Komani (Knuckle City) stars as Mkhondwana, opposite four-time SAFTA winner Tina Jaxa (Intersexions) as Pele-Pele, a ruthless pharmaceutical magnate. Mzansi Magic’s first isiMpondo language series, Mpondoland is directed by SAFTA winners Nthabi Tau (Outlaws) and Nthabiseng Mokoena (Gomora, The Wife) for Origins Pictures.
