ADD movies is a selection of movie channels - M-Net Movies 1, M-Net Movies 2, Zee Cinema and Sony Max – which you can ADD to your existing package for R49 per month. ADD movies gives you access to a greater selection of movies (and more movie channels), without needing to upgrade to a higher package. If there are any pop-up movie channels running at the time, you’ll also get access to those. A selection of the movies on these channels will also be available to watch on Catch Up.

Please note: you are unable to ADD movies if you have a Premium subscription (the channels are already included on your package), nor if you are on EasyView. Zee Cinema and Sony Max are only available for viewing on a decoder. Channel selection subject to change without notice.

There are 2 Premium movie channels > M-Net Movies 1 and M-Net Movies 2 as well as two channels carrying Bollywood content (Zee Cinema and Sony Max).

Additional themed movie pop-up channels (when available) are also included in ADD movies.

Please note: If you have a streaming only subscription, Zee Cinema and Sony Max are not  available to you.

South African customers on DStv Compact Plus, Compact, Family and Access can ADD movies. DStv Premium customers do not need to as they already have access to all our movie channels.

No, the option is only available as an “add-on”, ie. you need an active DStv subscription to which you then “add” Movies. It is available to Compact Plus, Compact, Family and Access customers. Premium customers already have these channels so there is no need for them to add this to their subscription.

Yes, you can ADD movies. It will be separate to your contract.

You will automatically retain ADD movies (unless you have requested to cancel it).
The only time you will NOT retain ADD movies is when you upgrade to DStv Premium (as DStv Premium already has all the available movie channels) or downgrade to EasyView.

Yes, ADD movies is ideal for holidays! However, please note that the payment date for ADD movies will be the same as for your normal DStv subscription even if you ADD movies on another date.

Example:

• Your payment date for your DStv package is the 29^th of each month.
• You sign up for ADD movies on the 15^th.
• You will need to pay a pro-rata amount for ADD movies (for the period from the 15^th to the 29^th).
• And on the 29^th, you will be billed for both your package and ADD movies.
• Although you can request to cancel or disconnect ADD movies at any time, the cancellation or disconnection will only take place on your next payment date.

Please note that when streaming only customers ADD movies, payment is required up front.

All your active subscriptions are automatically available on all decoders linked in XtraView.

Yes, if content for those channels is available on Catch Up, they will be available to you.

Only M-Net Movies 1, M-Net Movies 2 (plus any current movie pop-up channels) are available when streaming.

Yes, where Catch Up content for these channels is available, it will be available via Catch Up on the Explora and online (or via the app).

Yes – these can be viewed, however an active DStv subscription (with the Access Fee) is required.
