Big Brother Naija has been on the minds of many Nigerians across the world, who continue to tune in to see who will be the last man or woman standing – and most importantly, how they get to that position. 20 young hopefuls entered the House a month ago and we have already said some touching goodbyes to Ka3na, Lilo, Eric, TochiKaisha, Praise, Tolanibaj, Wathoni and Brighto, with many more stories waiting to unfold. 20 people gave up their outside lives to be part of the biggest social experiment in Africa for a reason – and as we go through life with them for 71 days, we find out those reasons. Here we have six reasons that will make you want to watch Big Brother Naija.

1. Relationships come and go

With no outside contact and no way of telling time or day, the Housemates began as strangers but we watch daily as relationships are built and how quickly they decay due to human nature, a lack of contact with the outside world and sometimes just a pure winner mentality. Emotions tend to get high and people lose their tempers or withdraw completely. To add more variables to the drama mix, people are Voted off, leaving Housemates behind to figure out why those who have left were Voted out in the first place; a process they cannot control.

2. We learn the minds of the Housemates in Diary Sessions

Nearly halfway through the season and we have already been treated to the most invigorating dynamics of the year, all in the space of a month. Through the one of a kind Diary Sessions with Big Brother, we have learnt the deep intricacies of how the Housemates think, what gets them going as people, who they hold near and dear and why. We also know what they are willing to do for a shot at the top spot, where they can walk away with the grand prize. Often times, what is portrayed on the outside is definitely not what is on the inside.

3. Dynamic dynamics

We watch the dynamics that the couples face and go through and how people gravitate towards one another when the chips are stacked for or against their favour. We have witnessed as Housemates realise they need each other to make it to the other end but also how relationships make it difficult to stay or leave and how Winning Challenges leads to rewards for the Housemates that we take for granted.

4. Challenge the outcome

We have already been privy to the deep-rooted competitiveness of the Housemates in their daily lives but when you add rewards to the Challenges they mean much, much more. By participating in their daily Challenges, Housemates buy themselves privileges, pamper sessions, but most of all, Immunity and this above all means everything to the Housemates.

5. Your favourite telenovela lasts 1 hour, Big Brother is 24 Hours a day!
