Chioma’s friend Lisa comes to visit the flat, and suddenly the whole house temperature changes. This babe is pretty pretty. The kind that makes grown men sit up straight and start speaking Queen’s English. And just like that, Ubong and Chief Donatus are both smitten. Yes, Chief Donatus. The same Chief Donatus who already has two girlfriends. But in his defence, what is one more plate at the buffet?
Dan said no, and everybody is confused.
Just when the men are adjusting their shirts and practising pickup lines, Dan, the self-appointed Head of the House, drops a bomb. Nobody should move to Lisa. Now the entire flat is confused. Since when did Dan become the Minister of Romance and Internal Affairs? Why is he banning grown men from shooting their shot?
Suspicious behaviour.
The real reason Dan is pressing neck
Turns out, Dan is not protecting anybody. He is protecting his ego. Apparently, Dan once tried to date Lisa and failed spectacularly. According to sources, Lisa is high maintenance and very aware of it. Soft life enthusiast. Premium tastes. Zero interest in struggling love. Dan could not keep up. So while he packaged his warning like brotherly advice, let’s be honest. His ego is still nursing injuries. And if one of the other guys succeeds where he failed? That wound will reopen immediately.
Ubong the stubborn romantic
Now, if you know Ubong, you know instructions are suggestions to him. Ubong persisted. Even when Lisa’s high-maintenance lifestyle started clearing his eyes small small, he still tried. Love is blind but bills are not. Eventually, reality tapped him on the shoulder, and he admitted maybe Chief Donatus should go ahead. But let’s not lie. Ubong has never been known to clap for someone who beats him in a romantic race. This is not over.
Chief Donatus' sweet mouth activated
Somehow, Chief Donatus pulls it off. Between his sweet talking, promises of a flamboyant lifestyle, and Chioma playing supportive bestie, Lisa says yes. Chief Donatus really said if you cannot compete, upgrade. Now he is walking around the flat like a victorious politician after elections. But let’s be real. Two things are brewing: Ubong does not lose gracefully, and Dan’s ego is still on life support.
This flat is about to be a battlefield
With bruised egos, wounded pride, and one very high-maintenance queen in the mix, it is only a matter of time before everything explodes. Will Ubong accept defeat peacefully? Will Dan admit the truth? Will Chief Donatus survive juggling three women? Find out on My Flatmates, showing weekdays at 7pm on Africa Magic Showcase.
