Current Head of House and All Stars finalist, Ilebaye, selected Angel, Ceec, Mercy Eke, and Venita as her week 9 BFFs. While this all-female squad looks solid on the outside, it's hard to ignore the simmering tension that is visible for all to see, and this unlikely selection is well worth delving into through a deeper analysis.
First, the relationship between the finalists, Ceec and Ilebaye, hasn't always been smooth. From the foundation makeup issue where Ilebaye mistakenly used Ceec's facial product without her permission to the cleaning of Ilebaye's kisses from Doyin's picture, it is glaring that there's no love lost between these two. Even though Ceec mentioned last week to Ilebaye that she had forgiven her, she didn't hold back in disregarding Ilebaye's apology after the last live show, when Ilebaye had called for a meeting with the All Stars to apologise for past transgressions after she told live show host Ebuka that the housemates misunderstood her.

Second, is the tension between finalist Mercy Eke and Venita. The state of their relationship came under the spotlight on Sunday when Ebuka wanted to get the scoop on what was going on. Venita pointed out that their friendship is experiencing a level of mistrust. Later on, these two talked it out, but the feeling that all was far from being settled between these two was the consensus.

Third, is Angel and Ilebaye's rocky friendship. On the surface, these two have a cordial relationship and despite Ilebaye choosing Angel as her BFF, she didn't hesitate to nominate her and her boo Soma. According to the Gen Z baddie, Somgel had allegedly deceived her. Angel, on the other hand, is still smarting from yesterday's Head of House and Black Envelope loss and so far hasn't shown interest in being an enthusiastic BFF, avoiding the HoH lounge instead.
The reasons behind Ilebaye's choice of BFFs can't be determined conclusively, but as the penultimate week for the All Stars in Biggie's house progresses, it remains to be seen whether these BFFs can resolve their issues and rebuild the trust that has been broken.
