The Thursday night party began on an electrifying note, with HoH Thelma Lawson making it crystal clear that she would be managing the drinks. According to her, no one was going to steal alcohol under her watch. The party itself delivered on all fronts – Koyin, Jason Jae, Joanna, and Mensan owned the dance floor as usual, while Imisi and Kuture brought their signature energy inside the pool.
But the fun was layered with tension. Earlier in the evening, Imisi was dragged back into the house by Kola, Mide, and Bright Morgan, who tried to calm her down after a confrontation outside. The trio warned her about her closeness to Isabella, insisting that Isabella was not a good friend. Adding to the suspicion, Thelma Lawson questioned why Imisi brought her bag to the pool party, hinting it was to stash drinks. Thelma Lawson herself later carried a bottle into the HoH room, explaining she was safeguarding it from theft.
Once the music stopped, the drama picked up. Mide told Kola that Isabella had insulted her behind her back, calling her name without addressing her directly. Mide warned that if Isabella ever mentioned her name, she was “ready to burst.” Later, she repeated her concerns to Thelma Lawson, revealing that during an impersonation task, Isabella mocked her with an “ewww,” when mentioned that she should impersonate Mide.
The conversation snowballed, with housemates dissecting Isabella’s relationships in the house. According to them, she has the “audacity” to believe she has friends, when in reality those very friends allegedly speak ill of her behind her back.
Meanwhile, the issue of drinks threatened to escalate further. Imisi and Isabella kept counting and recounting how many drinks there were in total and how they should be shared. Thelma Lawson didn’t ignore their concerns but stood firm in her rule as HoH: one drink at a time. Unsurprisingly, this didn’t go down well with the duo.
As it stands, this conflict looks far from over. While Imisi and Isabella’s friendship appears to be flourishing, other housemates are clearly unhappy with it – and perhaps hoping it doesn’t grow any stronger.
