What’s a birthday without messages of love, warmth and well wishes from those closest to you? Luckily, Mide didn’t have to find out. As the housemates gathered in the garden – their makeshift bedroom for the night – they sang, laughed and passed along birthday messages to her.
Imisi kept it simple, telling her she loved her. Faith recalled the first time they spoke, while Dede wished her a love she would never have to question. But the highlight of the evening came when Mide received a love letter, written for her and delivered via Big Brother. During her Diary Session, she was given the chance to share it with the entire house.
Bright Morgan’s words stood out: he described Mide as a “rare gem and sweet soul,” expressing gratitude for her presence and admiring her inner and outer beauty. His promise – “I’ve got your back” –could prove the most significant part of the letter, especially with potential drama looming.
Because elsewhere in the house, Isabella has her sights set on Bright Morgan.
For a few days, she has made no secret of the fact that he fits her “spec” and has been plotting with Kola and Sultana about making her move. After all, why wouldn’t she shoot her shot with a man who told Ebuka during the Live Show that he was “living in the moment” and would only deal with his outside relationship once he leaves the house?
However, Kola recently let Bright Morgan in on Isabella’s plan, and he was far from impressed. Kola had already made his stance clear, reminding Isabella that he was friends with Mide and didn’t want to interfere. Isabella’s blunt response? That it was none of her business.
What was also none of her business, however, was Mide’s special day – a day that deserved to be filled only with joy. Yet, with tensions simmering, Mide may have gotten more than she bargained for as Kola gisted her about the plot.
Meanwhile, Head of House Faith ensured order didn’t slip amid the celebrations. During games led by Jason Jae and Dede, he noted that Kola, Imisi and Isabella had fallen short on their kitchen duties. Jason Jae and Kaybobo, on the other hand, impressed with their chores and were rewarded with sardine bread.
Tomorrow, Koyin, Mide and Dede will take over kitchen duty, with the chance to earn plantain or coconut bread. The question is: will they rise to the challenge?
