Day 35 – 27 Aug: Week 5 in the All Stars house – BBNaija

News
27 August 2023
Week 5 of Big Brother Naija delivered its fair share of entertainment, laughter, and heartfelt moments.
Week 5 in Biggie's house

The Big Brother Naija house saw a whirlwind of emotions and events during its fifth week, keeping both the housemates and viewers on their toes. The week started with the unexpected exit of Kiddwaya leaving a void that would soon be filled by the arrival of four new house guests: Kim OprahLucyPrince Nelson, and Sholzy. These fresh faces injected new energy into the house, sparking both excitement and apprehension among the housemates.

The entrance of the new guests was met with varying reactions, but it was Cross who stole the spotlight with his unbridled happiness upon seeing Kim Oprah. The joyous moment of Cross lifting Kim Oprah in the air set the tone for a week brimming with emotions. The atmosphere in the house underwent a noticeable shift as housemates seemed to don their game faces, dressing in their Sunday best and displaying a newfound seriousness about the game.

Soma emerged as the Head of House for the week and selected AdekunleAngelAlex, and Seyi as his BFFs. While Soma's romantic journey encountered rough patches, it culminated with Angel confessing her feelings for him. However, the week brought no immunity for any housemate through the black envelope or the "pardon me please" twist.

Amidst the intensity of the game, comedy was the theme of the week. Pranks and a surprise comedy night infused the house with a sense of light-heartedness. Ninja 8 was the least liked one this week as Biggie orchestrated a humorous yet messy incident, showering freeze-mode housemates with whipped cream after they had just showered and changed clothes.

In a departure from the comedic antics, Biggie organised the Pursuit of Happiness workshop, inviting Hamisha Daryani Ahuja to facilitate the session. This workshop encouraged housemates to reflect on what happiness, self-care, and gratitude meant to them. The workshop also played a role in mending strained relationships among housemates. Day 2 of the workshop and beyond witnessed heartwarming reconciliations between Cross and PereIke and Ilebaye, Ilebaye and SeyiCeec and Tolanibaj, and Angel and Cross.

Of course, drama and conflicts were inevitable in the high-pressure environment of the Big Brother house. The Pursuit of Happiness workshop inadvertently triggered tensions between Tolanibaj and Ilebaye, leading to a confrontation over personal space and boundaries. Neonenergy's response was a friendship break-up letter to Tolanibaj, a plea denied by Tolanibaj. Similarly, Ceec and Doyin's friendship faced challenges after the two squared off towards the end of the week.

Amidst the highs and lows of the week, the arena games crowned Pere as the victor. To celebrate, housemates indulged in a pool and grill party that ended with an unexpected passionate kiss between Ilebaye and Cross. The incident caught the attention of Kim Oprah, who appeared visibly unsettled by the development. After a lively Saturday Night Rave, Ilebaye engaged in a heart-to-heart conversation with Kim Oprah, conveying that she was welcome to pursue a connection with Cross.
