As has become the custom this season, the nomination show began with a frantic hunt for the red envelopes that might, or might not, contain immunity. The tension was thick as the housemates scrambled, knowing how much was at stake.
Only four were left hunting towards the end – Koyin, Imisi, Mensan and Victory, who missed out on the immunity card by a heartbeat. The disssapointment that followed has been evident. A dramatic stand-off unfolded between Koyin and Kaybobo when they reached the parrot at the same time, neither willing to let go. In the end, Kaybobo’s size and strength gave him the edge, leaving Koyin to continue searching for his chance at safety.
Meanwhile, HoH Zita, Most Influential Player Jason Jae, and the week’s House Snail, Rooboy, did not go hunting for immunity. By rule, Rooboy was automatically nominated for eviction.
The Tree of Trinkets then came into play as Zita exercised her power to save. Biggie, however, reminded her that she was not permitted to save anyone who lobbied or who had been recommended by her fellow housemates. Zita and Kola had spoken before the show on her nominations choice. After some thought, she saved Mensan and Faith, but this still left a staggering 20 housemates up for possible eviction.
The full list includes: Big Soso, Bright Morgan, Dede, Denari, Doris, Gigi Jasmine, Imisi, Isabella, Ivatar, Joanna, Kaybobo, Kola, Koyin, Kuture, Mide, Rooboy, Sultana, Thelma Lawson, Tracy and Victory.
The big news is that the prize pot has now risen to ₦25 million, after Biggie rewarded the housemates with an extra ₦7 million following an impressive week of observation.
