Biggie’s kitchen might need a health and safety sign at this point, because it’s turning into the unofficial boxing ring of the season. Most of this season’s fights have kicked off in or around the kitchen, and today was no different. Breakfast took a sharp left turn thanks to a fiery face-off between Mide and Zita, setting the tone for the rest of the day.
Zita had already made it clear that she wasn’t getting involved in breakfast today, so Danboskid took over kitchen duty. But when Mide saw him struggling, she tried to help out – and also tried (and failed) to invite Zita into the helping. Zita wasn’t having any of it, and things quickly went from “pass the carrots” to “pass the pot.” Voices were raised, hands were allegedly hit, and before we knew it, breakfast turned into a full-blown bust-up. Mide asked Zita to shut up, and Zita didn’t take kindly to that, and just like that, the whole house was on edge.
In the diary room, Mide told Big Brother that Zita hit her hand twice with a pot during the argument. While she admitted it rattled her, she said she doesn't want an apology, she’s simply done and plans to avoid Zita from now on.
Zita, on the flip side, told Biggie that Mide is "nasty" and has been pushing her buttons for a while now. She said Mide told her to “shut up” and waved a pot at her while holding a knife, which is when Zita said she reacted by hitting the knife. Not exactly a peaceful breakfast service. Danboskid, who was stuck in the middle of the madness, looked genuinely emotional at the beginning of his diary session. He said he doesn’t like violence and just tried to calm everyone down. He admitted Zita’s reaction was over the top, but he did his best to keep things from spiralling further.
Joanna also got a chance to offload in the diary room, revisiting that cake incident with Ivatar. It all started when she said “aunty shift” and Ivatar exploded. Joanna insists it had nothing to do with age, and says Ivatar completely overreacted. She also spoke about another moment where HOH Victory asked her to pick a paper from the box, and Ivatar gave her a shove – but she kept her cool to avoid getting a strike.
Joanna also mentioned that people keep bringing up her age, and she’s tired of it. She also expressed annoyance over the casual way housemates waste eggs. As for Ivatar, Joanna said they’re not spiritually aligned, and she’s at peace with walking away from the drama.
Low vibes from Kayikunmi and Sultana
Today’s diary room energy wasn’t all fighting and shouting — some housemates were just… low. Kayikunmi is clearly not doing great. He’s still tangled in the complicated web that is the Isabella situation, and it’s weighing heavily on him. Big Brother didn’t mince his words either, reminding Kayikunmi that he survived a storm (eviction) only to now let “raindrops” stress him out. Ouch. The message? Either change your mindset, or prepare to keep spiralling.
Sultana, meanwhile, opened up about feeling let down by her friendship with Ibifubara. Apparently, Ibifubara didn’t finish doing her hair and kept complaining throughout, something that clearly hurt Sultana. She also expressed her frustration with Faith, who keeps venting about sleeping in her bed and "acting like it’s his". Sultana was clear: it’s her bed, and he should not be entitled to it. She says people in the house think Faith’s recent mood swings are down to her, but she genuinely doesn’t know what she did wrong – all she wanted was her space back.
Ibifubara and Otega’s takes
Not everyone came to the diary room to vent. Ibifubara and Otega both offered calm takes on what’s going on in the house. Ibifubara shared some strategic thoughts, saying that quieter housemates like Tracy, Faith, Danboskid, Denari and Kola might be at risk because they’re not as visible. He reckons the audience will vote for the housemates who are "out there". Otega, meanwhile, admitted he’s nervous about being nominated. He doesn’t want to go home just yet – and fair enough, with the way tensions are rising, who would want to leave when things are getting juicy?
With clashing personalities, unresolved tension and tired hearts, the house feels like it’s simmering under pressure, and we’re only on Thursday night. Will the housemates find peace soon, or are we heading for more diary room therapy and kitchen chaos? Either way, we’ll be watching, popcorn in hand. 🍿
