As the days roll on in the Big Brother Naija house, connections are deepening, romantic interests are flaring up (and crashing just as quickly), and friendships are being tested in every direction.
Today, much of the conversation, both in the house and among fans, revolved around Doris and her very vocal opinions on a few of her fellow housemates, particularly Kola and Jason Jae, and their growing ties with Dede and Mide.
Could this tension have stemmed from Doris and Kola’s "former" friendship, which hit a wall when Kola was open about his romantic preferences? According to Kola, Doris didn’t match his “aesthetic”, and Dede, who seemingly does, became the new focus of his attention.
Since then, Doris has tried to keep her distance from Kola, choosing at some point not to engage with him as a friend anymore. However, today she revealed a little more than we knew. In a conversation, she shared her thoughts that Jason Jae and Kola are the type of guys women in the house should be chasing, yet, in her view, the two are now “under the thumb of two little girls”. Could this sharp commentary be rooted in unresolved frustration over Kola’s rejection and budding interest in Dede?
Elsewhere in the house, former bedmates Sultana and Faith seem to be on shaky ground. Sultana shared with Gigi Jasmine that Faith had changed, a claim supported by a tense interaction in which Faith told her, “Did you just touch my hair? Don’t do it again.” Despite never expressing any romantic interest, Faith’s recent behaviour has clearly rubbed Sultana the wrong way, with her and Doris later calling him a “small boy”.
Later, Faith confided in Otega, admitting that he was wrong in how he handled the situation. He reflected on how he hurt Sultana and shared that he wanted to fix things. He even compared her to a close friend outside the house, named Noah. Faith also noted that he had intended to sleep in Sultana’s bed again, only to find Jason Jae there. In his words, Sultana is “allowing” Jason Jae to sleep in the bed that once felt like his safe space.
Meanwhile, Victory had a heart-to-heart with Jason Jae, drawing parallels between Jason’s friendship with Sultana and his own connection with Joanna. Victory made it clear he isn’t actively pursuing a romantic relationship with Joanna at the moment, but wouldn’t rule it out if things naturally developed. Interestingly, he’s having this chat with someone who used to be close to Sultana, until Otega distanced himself for the sake of Sabrina, who, according to Otega, is jealous of Sultana.
To make things even more layered, Sabrina, Sultana, and Doris were later seen having a candid garden chat about how “sismances” might be more strategic than romantic ships. Doris even considered that a trio like theirs, smart, beautiful women, could be a power move in the house.
So, are Sabrina and Sultana actually beefing, or is it just in Otega’s head? One thing’s for sure – in Biggie’s house, the emotional weather changes faster than you can say “Diary Room”.
