After a full week without a Diary Session, Ivatar finally had the chance to unburden herself – and she certainly did not hold back. From clashing with Mensan to frustrations with other housemates, Ivatar’s session was nothing short of fiery.
She began by voicing her irritation with Thelma Lawson and Big Soso, making it clear she did not appreciate Thelma Lawson’s tone when speaking to her. But the bulk of her frustration was reserved for Mensan, whom she labelled the “king of malice”.
According to Ivatar, she and Mensan were once close, but the relationship soured as she began to see his true colours. One issue that stood out for her was his constant criticism of the food she prepared for him. She recalled how he would complain that it was “too American”, a remark that she took as a sign of ingratitude.
Her biggest gripe, however, was his failure to communicate with her directly. While Mensan seemed more than capable of expressing his grievances about her to other housemates, he avoided addressing them with her personally. “Are you trying to make me look bad?” Ivatar asked in frustration, questioning his intentions.
Their tensions boiled over before the previous Live Show when Mensan referred to her dismissively as “this girl”. That moment, Ivatar said, triggered her as the the housemates turned to look at her. She reached breaking point, tired of being discussed instead of spoken to, and aired his “dirty laundry” in front of everyone. From that moment, things between them have remained tense, with the Live Show confrontation seemingly sealing the rift for good.
Ivatar also shared that she had communicated discomfort about certain physical advances from Mensan, only for him to react with anger. Biggie addressed this in Mensan’s Diary Session, reminding him that housemates are allowed to express how they feel freely. For Ivatar, it was baffling that someone could be upset simply because she expressed how his behaviour made her feel.
But Ivatar wasn’t the only one who had a long-overdue session with Biggie. Doris finally visited the Diary Room after 17 days, and she too came in with heavy emotions. She admitted to struggling in the house without having the chance to offload to Biggie.
Biggie then revealed why he had placed her in the “naughty corner”. In her last session, Doris had been curt in her responses and later vented to Denari about her annoyance with Biggie. In response, Biggie chose to give her space, reminding her that it was “Biggie’s house, Biggie’s rules”. Doris has since apologised, and Biggie made it clear that the most meaningful apology would be reflected in her behaviour moving forward.
Doris also made it clear that she did not like Faith, even though she considered him strong competition. At the start of the season, she thought Jason Jae was a favourite, but now she felt “one leg in, one leg out”. She also added Thelma to the list of strong competitors.
Speaking about Faith, Doris remarked, “I think there is something wrong with him,” explaining that he did not stick to his word. She revealed she had tried to be his friend but could not, recalling an issue they had on Sunday that they later resolved. She said Faith had described the current week as the worst of his life, but she felt he had created that reality for himself. She criticised his behaviour around battery changes, saying he sometimes refused to distribute them, and recalled how he once woke everyone up to ration toilet paper. Doris said she was co-existing with Faith for now, but she never knew when things might take a turn. Still, she admitted to voting 4/5 for Faith as the most influential player.
Doris admitted that Denari had been her calm, saying that even when she was upset at Zita in the morning, looking at him settled her. She shared how she once asked him if he thought she was giving him bad PR, even though it came from a place of concern. She told Denari invited him to meet his parents when they leave the house.
Both Doris and Ivatar left their sessions having offloaded their frustrations, and time will tell if the drama in Biggie’s house will continue.
