Mensan - a smile laced with sadness
Mensan started light, talking about rice, sneaky late-night custard, and kitchen escapades but his heart told another story. While he tries to be the house clown, always smiling and shouting his catchphrase “pressure!”, he admitted he's constantly fighting back tears. He expressed disappointment about not winning challenges, confusion about the HoH’s save choice, and called out Joanna for overtaking Ivatar during a team moment. Still, he chose peace over drama because both parties involved are his friends. Despite all the inner turmoil, he’s still trying to help his team win the wager even if it’s just with meat advice.
Thelma Lawson - leadership, loyalty and a little bit of spice
Former HoH, Thelma Lawson vented about the house chaos, lack of proper meals, and feeling like a one-woman army in preparing for the task. With Ibifubara and Faith by her side, she’s been pushing the team forward while others just watch or offer empty complaints. She spoke of clashes with Imisi over spicy jollof and the lingering emotional drama surrounding Kayikunmi, her initial favourite who surprisingly ended up in Isabella’s bed. Despite her stress, Thelma Lawson remains strategic and hopeful, choosing who to empower in the house with sharp calculation.
Faith - heartbreak and hope
Faith is navigating the house with an aching knee, teary eyes, and a heart full of longing. He opened up about his bond with Sultana, how sharing a bed helped him sleep for the first time in days and how quickly it spiralled when Jason Jae entered the picture. His vulnerability turned into embarrassment when people started whispering. Still, he found joy in a task win with his preferred team and took comfort in small blessings. Faith’s also getting suspicious, calling out possible fake housemates; he speculated on Imisi but has his money on Otega because Otega told him the house itself is also a housemate (blame some weird house features), his gut says something isn’t quite right.
Jason Jae - calm in the chaos
Jason Jae reflected on the house settling into rhythm, even if last week was stressful. He’s determined to win the wager, actively brainstorming with his team, even if he doesn’t fully understand every concept. He shared how he took initiative; reading briefs, asking questions and trying to include everyone’s ideas. He’s still focused, composed, and giving the energy of a housemate slowly growing into a leadership role, even from behind the scenes.
Dede - emotionally unavailable but still dragged in
Dede wore her heart on her sleeve, reluctantly. She’s firm about not wanting to “ship” and told Kola so early on, but now finds herself entangled in feelings she didn’t sign up for. She respects Kola, calls him kind, but is tired of the emotional weight of their connection. From the party night misunderstanding to being accused of leading him on, Dede feels overwhelmed and misrepresented. She expressed frustration about not being allowed to simply exist in the house without being boxed into someone else's emotional narrative. Her plea? Let her be young, dumb, and drama-free.
Rooboy - not a bookworm but always game
Rooboy is thriving in the week’s fitness theme, opting for action over analysis. He proudly claimed his spot as the go-to guy for physical tasks and stayed away from bookish drama. That said, he’s not totally innocent, he confessed to joining some house pranks and labelled Ibifubara, Faith, and Sabrina as “agents of chaos.” Still, his light-hearted request for Biggie to play his song reminded us that he’s still just here for a good time.
Isabella - emotionally raw and tired of explaining
Isabella’s diary session was one of the most emotionally charged. Fighting back tears, she revealed how she feels alienated and judged simply because she doesn’t enjoy the group’s meals. The troublemaker label hurts her deeply. She doesn’t eat much because she’s overwhelmed, and it makes her feel like going home. Despite the sadness, she wants to keep trying especially since she loves her current team. Her pain was palpable when recounting her disappointment in Kayikunmi, who told her other girls see her as a threat and distanced himself to protect his own game. But through it all, Isabella clings to her love for simple joys, okra soup, swallow (eba) and peace of mind.
Denari - calm on the outside, calculating within
Denari came in collected, reporting that he was doing well, but quickly made it clear that the mood in the house is flat. Everyone’s eyes are on the wager, and that, he says, is the only thing giving the house momentum right now. But beneath that calm, Denari voiced clear disapproval for how Victory is handling his reign as HoH. He described him as someone obsessed with control, someone who talks to grown people like children and doesn’t know how to let others lead. Still, Denari tried to keep it balanced by saying Victory isn’t a bad person, just one who needs a better grip on respect. What shook him most, however, was Victory saving Kayikunmi instead of his supposed close friend, Bright. Denari admitted the nominations are sitting at the back of his mind but he’s working hard to keep them there.
Sabrina - bouncing back and blocking out the noise
Sabrina entered the diary room glowing because finally, her swollen foot is healing and she's ready to give the wager her all. Her team’s topic, “Meat”, has her feeling optimistic and inspired. She believes they’ve got a better chance than the rest. But when the topic turned to Victory, her warmth turned sharp. Sabrina labelled Victory’s communication style as disrespectful, citing a moment where he rudely asked her, “Did you not hear me when I called you?”. That tone didn’t sit right with her, still, she’s not spiralling. Her coping mechanism for nomination stress, she calls it “delusional peace.” It’s the art of ignoring panic by pretending everything’s fine. And for now, it’s working.
Doris - tired, honest, and homesick
Doris showed up tired, body and soul. With aching knees and a flat house vibe surrounding her, she’s just trying to keep moving. She admitted to stashing milk last week, a survival instinct in a house where resources (and patience) run thin. Doris, too, took aim at Victory, saying he argues for no reason and questioned if maybe he’s just constantly hungry. His choice to save Kayikunmi surprised her deeply. But what struck the most human chord was when Doris broke into tears over missing her nephew. The exhaustion, the emotional weight, the homesickness, it all poured out. In a house full of noise, it was a soft reminder that real life, and real love, waits beyond the walls.
Final Thoughts - cracks beneath the surface
This week’s diary sessions revealed more than strategy, they exposed raw human truths. Mensan hides his sadness with smiles. Thelma Lawson is weighed down by the pressure of leading. Faith is quietly breaking under the pressure of rejection and bad luck. Dede is emotionally overwhelmed, constantly pushed into roles she didn’t choose. Jason is balancing intellect with sensitivity. Rooboy just wants to be helpful in his own lane. And Isabella, labelled and misunderstood, is quietly unraveling while still holding onto hope, Denari is staying composed and focusing forward, Sabrina is choosing delusion over dread and Doris, though worn thin, reminded us that the strongest ones cry too. Across the last three, the HoH's leadership or lack of it, was a common concern. Victory may be wearing the crown, but it’s clearly weighing heavy on the house. His need to control, the tone he uses, and the shocking save choice are all chipping away at the housemates’ patience.
The emotional toll of the game is real. While they dance, cook, flirt, and fight during the day, it’s in the stillness of the diary room that their true stories come to light. For all the glitter and gameplay, Biggie’s house is turning out to be a true test of emotional resilience.
