If you had any doubts that season three of Housekeepers would be a hit, we trust those are no more. The cast of Housekeepers understood the assignment: Serve the viewers the content they signed up for. And that is exactly what they did.
From episode one when we met the Zwanes, a family of assassins, we were thrown into a world of thrill and danger. The Zwanes were meticulous and lethal, and we could tell Linda was going to have her work cut out for her if she made this family her enemy.
With a star-studded cast including Ernest Ndlovu, Andile Mxakaza, Noxolo Dlamini, Fezile Makhanya and Zandisile Nhlapho, it was clear that the Zwanes were not to be messed with. Did you find yourself falling in love with the matriarch’s warm nature towards Linda? Did you find yourself yearning for Dumi to find the love of his life and their love child? Did you cry when the evil Khwezi lost his precious Cebo at his sister’s hands? Or did you feel it was all punishment for the pain they had put Mthokozisi through?
Mthokozisi, plays by the talented Paballo Koza, took us on a journey of emotions. One moment we couldn’t stand how he was acting like a brat towards Linda, then the next we wanted to climb into our screens and give him a hug as he struggled in prison.
One thing is for sure, the Zwanes made a mistake when they framed Mtho for Cindy’s murder. They made an enemy of Linda and since that day she has been tearing them apart from the inside. With each episode, the Zwanes turn against each other, losing faith and trust in themselves as a team. They are still unaware that Linda is the one turning them against each other and with the tunnel vision our good sis has, we don’t think she has noticed either; she just wants to clear her brother’s name.
To say Thando Thabethe played Linda Ndlovu is an understatement, Thando is Linda. She has convinced Mzansi viewers of that.
The tale of Housekeepers season three has not come to an end just yet, tune into the season finale tonight to see how Linda’s war with the Zwane’s ends… if it does.
