Agnes and Victor's love story – OPW

News
26 May 2019
It's never too late to find love!

Love story

Agnes Molefe (48) and Victor Riba ( 54) met in Daveyton, Eastrand. She was working at her late brothers laundromat and he walked in to do his laundry. Luckily, Agnes had to give Victor her number and he took it as a chance to make contact with her. It was love at first sight for Victor but Agnes would relocate to another branch.

He spoke to her on WhatsApp for over a year and sometimes she would not respond, although her profile picture still remained. " I didn't want to complicate my life because of my children. The only thing I was interested in, was raising them." says Agnes. As fate would have it, she would move back to Daveyton and the two ran into the other in the street. He was even more determined to win her over!

'"Even when I told him there was someone else, he continued to pursue me, eventually I realised I was happy, I asked myself what I had to lose?" Agnes recalls. Her children say she is much more fulfilled since Victor came into her life.

However things would take an ugly turn, when she suddenly fell very ill, her family was scared she would not make it. Victor quit his job and nursed her back to good health. Agnes says her scars are testament of his love for her and she's grateful that they were given a second chance at life.

She likes that Victor is caring and loving, while Victor appreciates that Agnes is a considerate partner. He proposed to Agnes on her birthday and she said yes. This couple wants to show everyone that they are never too old for love. "Don't think you will never get married at your age."

Join them this Sunday at 7pm, as they celebrate their love with Mzansi!
