This student and performer – real name Leandi Scheuer – is 27 and from Pretoria. Singing since she was two, she’s had singing lessons since Grade 1, and entered all the competitions and Eisteddfods, which she feels has set her up perfectly to be in The Voice. In 2016, she walked the Camino in Spain, an 800km ancient trail, and she worked on her personal issues – “you work everything out; I learned a lot from it.” She credits it with a boost in self-confidence. “When I get on stage, I feel good enough,” she says. “That’s why I love singing.” She released an Afrikaans track in 2018 called ‘Laaste Hoofstuk’, which did very well.
