Sitting right between Avatar: The Way of Life ($350 million) and Avengers: Infinity War ($325 million), Fast X is one of the most expensive films ever made. The budget for this film sits at $340 million. A large sum went towards the explosive action scenes, locations, and the cast (Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, John Cena, Charlize Theron, and many others) who commanded large pay cheques.
Vehicles wrecked
According to the vehicle coordinator Dennis McCarthy, who has been a part of the franchise since Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Fast X wrecked somewhere between 150 vehicles for the sake of its action scenes.
Lin bows out
Fast X was supposed to be directed by Justin Lin; but, coming as a surprise for many, he stepped away from the directorial seat for the tenth instalment.
Like father, like daughter
Meadow Walker, the daughter of the late Fast & Furious star Paul Walker, makes her acting debut in the film as a flight attendant who helps Jakob (John Cena) escape assassins on a plane.
Low profit
The movie made a gross of $704 million at the box office, placing it as the fourth highest-grossing movie of 2023, but the large budget used to make the film prevented it from making a good profit. FYI, the movie that made the most profit in 2023 globally is Barbie, followed by The Super Mario Bros Movie.
