Lil Uzi Vert shook the internet when pics of his newly implanted diamond stone surfaced. The pink diamond piece, which seems to have been embedded surgically in the section just above his eyes, is set to have cost the Philly rapper a whopping $24 million! And while his latest accessory will surely eclipse all his facial tatts and piercings, it has also gotten fans wondering if he might have just taken things too far. For one, it looks like it hurts. And secondly, by his own admission, it's hella risky.
But those familiar with Uzi know that he never shies away from displays of splashy eccentricities. Whether it's the constant changes in the colour of his locks to command more attention from up out of space, or his general artistic direction, he sure never plays it safe.
This time though, there's even more chatter about the amount he's blown on the latest piece of jewellery! What's more, several online estimates place his net worth at around $16 million, raising questions about the legitimacy around what he actually has in the bank.
In a round of social posts that followed, Lil Uzi Vert claimed unprofessional removal of the embedded piece may be fatal. In a since-deleted tweet, the Eternal Atake hitmaker shared a photo with some blood flowing from the fresh wound. Talk about gore.
He later posted a video showing fans that he's doing okay, and the diamond is popping.
