The exchange comes during the Flying Solo themed week, which challenges housemates to focus on individual identity and strategy. But for Kola and Imisi whose bond has grown stronger over the past weeks, loyalty and friendship are clashing with strategy and perception.
Faith’s “trap” theory
Faith told Joanna that Kola confided in him a day earlier, describing his friendship with Imisi as a “trap.” According to Faith, Kola fears that if he distances himself from Imisi, he may be dragged for abandoning her. On the other hand, staying close could make both of them targets in the house.
Faith framed the situation as a no-win dilemma and suggested that Kola’s loyalty might be hurting his strategy. With Week 8’s cultural presentation task pairing Kola and Imisi together, Faith joked that Kola now looks “weak” by sticking with her, even if it’s unintentional.
Joanna’s sharp shade
Joanna, never one to mince words, agreed with Faith. She described the friendship as “overhyped” and argued it was making Kola look “too soft.”
Throwing in a dose of humour, she quipped, “She go dey do like she never chop jollof before,” shading Imisi’s emotional energy in the kitchen.
Joanna suggested that Imisi’s “trenches vibe” - raw, bold, and unfiltered - was distracting Kola from his own game. Instead of nurturing potential alliances with housemates like Dede, Mide, or Bright Morgan, she said Kola was busy managing Imisi’s drama.
Faith’s ongoing fixation
What really stood out was Faith’s pattern of pulling Imisi into every topic, whether joking about Nigeria’s 36 states (“Imisi stole one, now we have 35”) or revisiting the pool party clash between Imisi and then-HOH Thelma Lawson, Faith repeatedly positioned Imisi as the source of Kola’s troubles.
He reminded Joanna of how Kola awkwardly apologised on Imisi’s behalf during that party, saying it showed he was “blinded” by loyalty. Joanna backed him up, calling Imisi “entitled” and suggesting she didn’t know how to maintain healthy friendships.
What to expect next
With Zita now crowned as the new Head of House, paired tasks and group challenges could magnify the Kola-Imisi dynamic. If Faith continues stirring, viewers may see another fiery diary session from Imisi who thrives on her self-styled “dangbana choko” energy.
For now, the question remains: is Kola’s loyalty a strength that will win fans’ admiration, or a weakness that could cost him the game?
