Day 6: Chicken fight sparks an all-out war – BBNaija

News
01 August 2025
The house descended into absolute chaos just after the pool party – and it's grilled chicken that did it.
Two African men fighting over meat

From a plate of meat to absolute mayhem, the Big Brother house went from 0 to 100 real quick after the pool party, and very few housemates made it out unscathed. What started with Otega shouting over a plate of grilled chicken spiraled into a house-wide blowup involving Denari, Victory, Jason Jae, Rooboy, Mensan, and even Thelma Lawson. From accusations, to cream-spattered clothes and bruised egos, the drama came in sizzling hot and not even love confessions could cool it down.

How it started

Just after Biggie had ended the very first pool party of the season, Otega walked into the house with a plate of chicken he had grilled while everyone had been busy on the dancefloor. After sharing a little bit with his fellow housemates who had asked him for a piece, more gathered, setting off a firestorm. Denari tried to claim a piece, but Otega was not having it. He stormed through the lounge yelling, while clutching his plate like a trophy. He shouted Denari's name, setting off a loud and messy chain reaction. Otega was incensed that his fellow housemates had focused on partying, instead of making a plan for their post-party meals. He made it clear that he was not anyone's "boy" or chef.

Denari wasn’t having it, and called Otega a fool repeatedly while trying to defend himself. But Otega kept escalating. Soon, other housemates joined in the fray and attempted to separate the two who looked like they were close to exchanging blows. Victory entered the mix and tried to grab playfully grab a piece of chicken. Otega did not take this lying down and pushed Victory, and proceeded to twisting his arm.

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any louder, Jason Jae jumped into the scene as he attempted to mediate. But instead of calming things down, it turned into a full-on screaming match between him and Victory. The meat may have been the trigger, but egos were clearly the fuel.

As things boiled over, Mensan and Denari both snapped at Otega, calling him wicked. But before anyone could catch a breath, Thelma Lawson turned her attention to Denari, shouting that he needed to “get out” and “read the room.”

With tension thick in the air, Jason Jae and Kuture tried to calm Denari down. Denari later attempted to explain his side in the closet area, saying he only asked Otega how far the meat was before Otega lashed out. Apparently, Otega laughed and that was what truly set him off. As Denari made his way down the stairs, he ran into Sabrina, who gently said, “You know I love you,” and reached out to him. But Denari, still fuming, brushed her off and walked away without a word.

Meanwhile, the guys gathered to unpack the madness that had just unfolded. As Jason Jae was about to recount how he told Biggie in the Diary Room that no one respects his authority unless it benefits them, Thelma Lawson reappeared, this time fuming over her clothes being placed on the toilet sink and cream mysteriously spilled on it.

At this point, Jason Jae had had enough. In full HoH mode, he asked everyone to meet him downstairs so they could put finishes touches on the wager presentation. Just when everyone had gathered in the lounge and things had died down, Imisi and Rooboy went at it, then Koyin tagged himself in too. Kola had his hands full, dragging Imisi to a corner in an attempt to get her to calm down. Gigi Jasmine jumped in, yelling at Imisi and how the whole house is tired of doing things her way.

One fight. Too many voices. Zero chill.
This house isn't just heating up, it's boiling over. Stay tuned.
