After Eze Dibia's death and the market site tragedy, Zina appeals to the spirits to select another fitting candidate to become the new Masquerade following Muna's decision to drop his title. While he no longer wants parts, as everyone sees him as incompetent, Zina forces Muna to participate in the Masquerade selection.

For the second time, Chizitaram's father, Mazi Kelechi, embarrasses Muna and rejects his request to marry his daughter.

Muna and Abaeze engage in a heated argument just before Muna finds himself in another fight, this time with Onyeka, whom he discovers at home with his wife.

With his desire to become the Masquerade of Aniedo weighing heavy on his chest, Muna gets into a war of words with Eze Dibia to prove himself worthy; however, Eze Dibia thinks Muna's arrogance makes him unfit for the role.
