Ade Laoye was born into a musical family and grew up drawing her inspiration from musical theatre and movies. She went on to study Theatre Arts at The Pennsylvania State University, USA. 

After graduation, she moved to Philadelphia and performed with prestigious theatres such as The Arden Theatre Company, where she was nominated for a Barrymore Award for 'Best Ensemble in a musical' in their critically acclaimed production of "Caroline, or Change", and apprenticed at America’s oldest theatre – The Walnut Street Theatre. She also spent some time in New York City where she worked with Playbill Magazine – The official magazine of the American theatre industry. 

She toured with off-Broadway company TheatreWorksUSA where she was cast as lead in their production of "We The People".

Ade moved to Nigeria in 2012 and has since featured in movies and tv series including Victor Sanchez Aghahowa’s DOWRY and RETREAT, Seyi Babatope’s LUNCH TIME HEROES and Dickson Dzakpasu’s HM TRAVEL AND TOURS.

She originated the role of ‘Jane’ in Bolanle Austen-Peters' critically acclaimed Broadway-style Nigerian musical - “Saro the Musical” and starred in Keke Hammond’s production of "For Colored Girls".

Ade presented and produced EbonyLife TV's daily entertainment news show "EL Now" for two and a half years
