Standing 5”11 tall, spotting sore charm and a proud Abia State indigene, Uzor Arukwe is a happily married (ladies no vex, we beg!) motion picture man with a master’s degree from the University of Calabar just for emphasis. After bagging a gang number of roles in some of Nollywood’s best offerings, he joined Uti for a sidon’ session and had quite a bit to share.

Having first embarked on his artistic journey back in 2000 when he co-starred in our famous sitcom, My Flatmates alongside the likes of Yaw, Uzor’s big fat steak was served in 2017 when he landed the Inspector Sam role on Sergeant Tutu. His career continued to lift off as steady as a plane piloted by a veteran of the skies and landed roles on over 40 Nollywood titles including favourites, Smash, Sugar Rush (remember the voice?), Heart of Gold, Hire a Woman and most recently, Dear Affy and Kambili

When asked about his Best Actor in a comedy/movie nomination at the #AMVCA7s, Uzor brought out his barrel of modesty and quenched the flame, attributing his dedication and flawless role interpretation to an innate love for the arts and not for validation.

You and yours have probably spotted him on more than just a few Nollywood offerings, but we can proudly claim him as our own after he exuded intoxicating charm that had both Ofure and Abimbola ensnared on recently wrapped Showmax serving, Unbroken. As Nafike, Uzor explored so many dimensions to a modern man exposed to crime; both financial abundance and drought; abuse and psychological ailments. He went from good guy, to shady man and back to our good books in very captivating ways and died a hero of love when Papa Wande sentenced him to gas intoxication.

We can go on and on about his charm and the appeal of his now signature mole, but we finish say bros get a wife, abi? So we’ll place a seal on it and shout kudos to him for being a contributor to the growing arts in Nigeria. Check out his brief chat with Uti down below and keep it locked to your fav AM shows.
